Before breeding Ch. Amore's Til the End of Time, call name Tillie, for the first time, I spent over a year studying pedigrees, researching health issues, looking at structure and considering what I wanted and where I wanted to go with my breeding program.  I was at an impasse until I realized that the perfect match for her was almost in my backyard.  I contacted Lilian Barber, LaScala Italian Greyhounds, and we discussed the possibility of a mating.  Ch. LaScala Il Leone d'Tucker, call name Tony, and Tillie produced their first litter in 1997, a litter of five beautiful puppies.  Four of these babies achieved their championships - a rather amazing statistic considering the requirements to qualify as an AKC champion.  In the intervening years, both Tony and Tillie qualified as IGCA Top Producers (Tony has 20 champion offspring and Tillie has eight).  They were bred two more times producing another four champions and providing a strong foundation for all future Amore` litters. Three of their babies have also qualified as IGCA Top Producers and a fourth should qualify in the not-to-distant future thus proving the genetic strength of these two dogs.
When I was a novice handler, Jeannie offered me a co-ownership in a puppy.  That puppy is now BISS Ch. Amore's Rebel Without A Cause, call name Rebel.  Rebel took me places as a novice handler that I had no expectation of going, i.e., as a participant in the inaugural AKC Eukanuba National Invitational, the Italian Greyhound Club of America inaugural Top 20 event and at 10 years of age, Rebel was awarded Best in Specialty from the Veteran class.  Rebel has always been a healthy dog and I knew that I wanted his genes in my future breeding program.  Since I had no female to breed Rebel to I needed to acquire a bitch with a compatible pedigree from another breeder.  Jeannie and I purchased Ch. Pikop Your Amore` at Chaulait, call name Trix.  Trix also had a fabulous show career, being ranked the #2 IG in the US, participated in the IGCA Top 20 event, and was also invited to the AKC/Eukanuba National Invitational.  Both Rebel and Trix have produced lovely offspring, not only together but individually as well, including several champions and still counting!
