Colors and Markings
As with all dog breeds, Italian Greyhounds come in a variety of colors and markings. Black, blue, chocolate, fawn, red, and white constitute the colors. It should be noted that the only colors marked for disqualification by the AKC are brindle coats or black and tan.

Markings
Red with Black Mask
Solid/Minimal - the markings are either solid or nearly solid, one color.
Irish - has a complete white collar, white chest, white paws or legs, and white hairs on the tip of the tail.
Wild Irish - same markings as the Irish but with more white on the body.
Pied - has a white body with other color markings. Markings can show a solid colored head, or little coloring, or freckling (faint colored spots on the body).
Split Face - one half of the face is one color and the other half is another color.
